Release of ASM Journal Volume 91

We are happy to share with you that on 25th November 2023, on the occasion of the Foundation Day of the Asiatic, the Society has released Volume 91 of the ASM Journal. It has come to the Society's notice that some unscrupulous elements are collecting money for publishing papers in the Society's Journal and offering bogus certificates. The Asiatic Society does not collect money for publishing in its journal, nor does it guarantee publication, and neither does it issue any certificate. Authors must verify with the Society before submitting any papers, and papers will be published only after rigorous peer review and editing. The Society does not take responsibility for any payments made to third parties claiming to represent the Society, or for their papers appearing in a cloned/spam journal. Ours is a print-only journal.

Anirudh Kanisetti is the award-winning author of Lords of the Deccan, a new history of medieval South India. He received the Tata Literature Live! Best Nonfiction Book of the Year award in 2022, and was featured in THE WEEK’s 40 Under 40 list for India’s most promising creatives, as well as Open The Magazine’s Open Minds 2022 Soft Power list. Anirudh’s research has received grants from the Princeton Center for Digital Humanities and the India Foundation for the Arts. His writings and work have been featured in The Hindu, The New Indian Express, and LiveMint, among others. He writes the popular Thinking Medieval column for The Print. Anirudh was formerly Editor at the Museum of Art and Photography and Associate Fellow at the Takshashila Institution. He hosts two popular and critically acclaimed podcasts – Echoes of India and Yuddha.
Kamini Dandapani was born and raised in (once) sleepy Madras. She now lives in the city that never sleeps, New York. She has had extensive training in Carnatic music, Bharata Natyam and Western Classical music (Pianoforte). A longer-than-desired stint in the corporate world that included Chase Manhattan Bank and McKinsey & Co. was followed by a complete change in direction back to her true loves, top among which are music and writing.
