The LitClub of the Asiatic Society of Mumbai cordially invites you to attend a talk on ‘the Practice of Yoga’ by Vithal Nadkarni, who is a senior writer and columnist and a former science editor of the Times of India, on Monday, 13th August, 2018, at 5.00 p.m. in the Durbar Hall of the Society. He wears many hats, and also happens to be an initiated Hathi Yogi himself with decades of practice and research in this area.

Yoga Inc today is a global brand with a monetary turnover estimated to be larger than that of the Microsoft Corporation! During his talk, Vithal Nadkarni will explore the roots of this phenomenon and trace its links with humankind's thirst for meaning and transcendence in a seemingly chaotic world. He will also present a visual epiphany based on Indian miniatures and Tibetan tankhas.

There will also be a presentation and a practical demonstration of poses and kriyas called "Baby Simple" suitable for the 21st century.
