O P Nayyar is one of the most loved music directors of the Golden Era of the Hindi film industry. He gave a number of hits in the 50s to 70s era.
O.P.Nayyars versatility is evident in the music he has created in numerous films. O.P. Nayyar placed emphasis on Rhythm without neglecting Melody!! That's why he was unanimously crowned as "The Rhythm King – O.P. Nayyar !!!
O.P. Nayyar used folk music, light classical, western tunes combined by rhythm alternating dholak and tabla with enchanting melodies which made him great. His use of "Tonga” and "Bhangda” has become a cherished treasure trove!
An audio visual show on 23 March 2024 is awaiting to enthrall you. Captivating presentation by Dr.Prakash Joshi, a friend of OPN himself, will take you through a musical journey with interesting incidents of the illustrious life of OPN.
