The author will be “In Conversation” with Prof. Bhushan Thakare.

“The Man who Avenged Bhagat Singh” covers a little-known episode in the history of the struggle by Indian revolutionaries. Phanindra Nath Ghosh, a comrade turned approver, betrayed Bhagat Singh and his comrades leading to their arrest and subsequent hanging. From the shadows emerges Baikunth Sukul, a relatively unknown teacher from Bihar who vows to exact the maximum revenge. What are his plans and how far does he succeed is what is lucidly portrayed in the book.

By profession he is an Inspector with the Department of Income Tax, Government of India. Currently he is researching and writing a screenplay for an epic biopic “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj”, scheduled for release in 2026 in six languages. He has translated the cult classic Marathi novel “Chandrachi Sawali” into English in addition to a children’s book “365 Tales of Ganesha and Shivaji”, and the “Jail Diaries of Bhagat Singh.”
