A Special General Body Meeting (SGM) of the members of the Asiatic Society of Mumbai will be held on Saturday, 3rd February, 2024, at 3.00 p.m. in the Town Hall of the Asiatic Society to transact the following business:
Agenda
1) To inform members of various factors relating to the recent Managing Committee elections held on 30th September 2023; and more particularly of certain acts of omission that have occurred in conducting the said recent Managing Committee elections.
2) After a discussion in the General Body, the Managing Committee seeks the guidance of the General Body as to the form and nature of the appropriate steps to be taken next under these unusual circumstances.

NOTICE
This is in continuation of our Notice (Ref. No. ASM/Notice/2023-2024/476) dated 3rd October 2023 regarding the return of books / re-issue / take new books on their account till Thursday, 12th October 2023 due to Refurbishment of the Library funded by the Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL).
Members may please note that this date for return of books / re-issue / borrowing new books has now been extended till Monday, 16th October 2023.
Further those members who require more than 15 books can now get issue / borrow 25 books (Old books, New Books and Periodicals) as permitted.
All other rules regarding borrowing, extension and re-issue of books will be the same during the period of Refurbishment of the Library.
