HOLIDAY NOTICE
As per the Government of Maharashtra Notification dated 19th November 2025, Saturday, 6th December 2025, has been declared as a holiday on account of “Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Mahaparinirwan Din (Commemoration Day).”
In view of the above, Members are informed that the Office and the Library of the Asiatic Society of Mumbai will remain closed on Saturday, 6th December 2025.

NOTICE TO THE NEW APPLICANTS
FOR COLLECTION OF ID-CARDS AND RECEIPTS
New applicants, whose Applications for Membership to the Asiatic Society of Mumbai has been approved, are hereby informed that their ID Cards and Payment Receipts will be issued to them after 31st December 2025.
Further they are requested to collect the same personally on production of their payment / transaction details / printouts. If they cannot visit personally, then they should send a proper Signed Authority Letter (with a copy of their Aadhaar / PAN Card), mentioning the name of the person to whom to handover the ID-Card and Payment Receipts. The Authorised Person should carry a copy of their Aadhaar / PAN for Identification.
Please note that no one will be handed over more than one ID-Card at a time even to the authorised person.
